Asian Pacific Development Center

After the fall of Saigon, Colorado experienced an influx of Southeast Asian immigrants and refugees. Those who sought refuge in Colorado faced challenges in overcoming mental health conditions with major language barriers. In 1980, a group of community leaders recognized these unmet needs and mobilized Colorado’s Asian American community to create the Asian Pacific Development Center (APDC).

Since 1980, APDC has strived to holistically address the needs of the communities we serve. Asian Pacific Development Center advances the well-being of Asian American, Pacific Islander, refugee and immigrant communities through a system of care that address health and wellness, education and advocacy needs. For more information about each of our departments (behavioral health, primary care, adult education, youth leadership academy, health equity, victims assistance, and interpretation/translation services) please visit www.apdc.org.
