The African Community Center (ACC) is seeking a Family Stabilization Specialist (FSS) Intern! The ACC Family Stabilization Specialist Intern will assist the Family Stabilization Specialist (FSS) in coordinating and providing linguistically and culturally appropriate services for crisis intervention and stabilization of refugee cases requiring specialized knowledge and handling. The FSS Intern will assist in providing intensive case management in all aspects of family stabilization services including but not limited to: domestic violence/sexual assault, mental health, LGBTQ services, child welfare, court cases, substance abuse, and elder abuse. The FSS Intern will help to improve refugee lives by promoting and facilitating a stable environment.
Schedule: 12-16 hours/week; 4-month minimum

ECDC African Community Center of Denver (ECDC ACC) was established in 2001 as a program office of the Ethiopian Community Development Council (ECDC). Over its 17-year history, ECDC ACC has served over 6,000 refugees, asylum seekers, special immigrant visa holders, and Cuban parolees.
