ECDC African Community Center of Denver
We Made This Boutique Volunteer
|Project Term:||June 17 - August 12|
|Est. Hours:||1 Day/Week|
The African Community Center (ACC) is seeking a We Made This Boutique Volunteer. We Made This (WMT) is a social enterprise that provides
psycho-social integration, skills training, and supplementary income for refugees. The We Made This Boutique (WMTB) will open its doors with a soft opening on June 17th, 2019. WMTB will primarily serve as an employment opportunity for our graduated Artisans. It will operate as a store front, selling crafts created by our artisans, and as a special order facility, where our more skilled graduates will be in charge of production. We are looking for volunteers to help oversee WMTB and, if interested, sew alongside our refugee community members as friends and mentors. The Boutique space strives to create a space of equality, where mentors and refugees can develop lasting friendships, exchanging life’s anecdotes, skills, laughs, and more.
