Vianney Mugisha | Democratic Republic of Congo
Vianney Mugisha was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Vianney grew up in exile in Rwanda where his parents took care of him when violence toward Kinyarwanda speaking individuals flared in 1996. In Rwanda, he studied law at Kigali Independent University. Vianney taught History in refugee camps in Rwanda. He also worked as a legal officer in a non-profit organization called Prison Fellowship Rwanda which was a legal partner of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). In 2022, he was resettled in the United States.
