Lutheran Family Services – Greeley
|Project Term:||Schedule Varies|
Before a refugee gets to Greeley, we set up an apartment with the proper furnishings. These volunteers help move furniture and supplies into the new apartments. The volunteers will be notified ahead of scheduled move-ins and need to be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
LFS has been resettling refugees in the Rocky Mountain region since 1978, assisting refugees as they start new lives in the US to attain self-sufficiency and independence through support with housing, learning English, employment, social services, school programming, and more. As an organization approved by the US Government to also resettle Unaccompanied Refugee Minors, LFS works with foster parents from diverse ethnic and linguistic backgrounds to provide special training and support on the adjustment needs of refugee youth.
Submitting this form does not constitute a commitment, only interest in volunteering. We will reach out with more information shortly after submittal.
