ECDC African Community Center of Denver
On Call Transportation Volunteer
6 Month Minimum
|Est. Hours:||As Needed|
School physicals, dental cleanings, and pharmacy visits, oh my! Our new community members have several appointments to endure within their first few months of resettlement. We need volunteers willing to help drive community members to and from their appointments whenever necessary. Volunteers are expected to be culturally sensitive as well as amicable. This is a wonderful opportunity to warmly welcome newly arrived families to Colorado as well as form lasting relationships.
Schedule: On-call position, hours vary weekly depending on volunteer’s availability
Additional Information: Interested volunteers must first attend a General Orientation session at ACC. Please go to our website at www.acc-den.org/volunteer to see upcoming orientation dates and to sign up.
ECDC African Community Center of Denver (ECDC ACC) was established in 2001 as a program office of the Ethiopian Community Development Council (ECDC). Over its 17-year history, ECDC ACC has served over 6,000 refugees, asylum seekers, special immigrant visa holders, and Cuban parolees.
